CLINICAL EVALUATION OF ISOTRETINOIN IN PATIENTS WITH CYSTIC ACNE

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this paper is to assess the clinical therapeutic effectiveness and any possibility of untoward side reaction of Isotretinoin in cystic acne. Five cases of cystic acne were subjected to an open clinical trial in the Department of Dermatology Catholic University Medical Collegy.
The effectiveness was assessed by the subjective decision in 4 different arbitrary level; excel-lent, good, fair, poor.
The general effect of the Isotretinoin for cystic acne was good_ in all cases after 6 weeks of treatment. Only dry mouth was experienced in 3 cases.
